Volleyball Game Preview: Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies vs. Lake of the Woods Bears

The Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies are taking a road trip to take on the Lake of the Woods Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo came up short against Kittson Central/Lancaster on Friday, falling 3-0. The Ponies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 29-14, 25-15.

The losing side was boosted by Olivia Winge, who had 14 assists and three digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played. Josie Johnston also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Meanwhile, Lake of the Woods came up short against West Central Area on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Lake of the Woods' loss dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Warren-Alvarado-Oslo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-23.

Warren-Alvarado-Oslo couldn't quite get it done against Lake of the Woods when the teams last played back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Ponies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
