Recap: Potosi Trojans vs. Central Rebels
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Potosi Trojans ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Central 70-68. The win was familiar territory for Potosi who now have four in a row.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Jobe Bryant, who scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Bryant is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Caden Casey was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Potosi is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 18-4.
Potosi will be playing in front of their home fans against South Iron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Iron is coming into the match with six straight wins on the road, so Potosi is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Arcadia Valley at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
