Baseball Recap: Bartlesville Wins Going Away Against Holland Hall

The matchup between Bartlesville and Holland Hall on Saturday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. Bartlesville was the clear victor by a 13-7 margin over Holland Hall. While the Bruins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Bartlesville let Carl Silva and Kaden Romesburg run wild. Silva scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Romesburg scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three hits gave Silva a new career-high. Cy Rigdon was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Bartlesville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. Holland Hall moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Bartlesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Ponca City at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Holland Hall, they will challenge Spiro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
