Volleyball Recap: Oakland Unity Starts Season with Loss at Home

Oakland Unity unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Leadership Public Schools Richmond Pumas on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for Oakland Unity in their meetings with Leadership Public Schools Richmond: they've now lost four in a row.

While Oakland Unity ultimately came up short, they really made Leadership Public Schools Richmond work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 26-24, 25-22.

The victory (which was Leadership Public Schools Richmond's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Oakland Unity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leadership Public Schools Richmond, they will face off against Impact Academy of Arts & Technology at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
