York put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They greeted the New Year with with a 69-51 victory over the Cape Elizabeth Capers. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Capers are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

York pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cape Elizabeth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

York will take on Kennebunk at 12:00 p.m. on January 11th. Cape Elizabeth has already played their next game, a 69-49 loss against Yarmouth on the 4th.
