Baseball Game Preview: Goleman Gators vs. Brito Panthers

Goleman is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Brito a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Goleman Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Brito Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Goleman has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Goleman's offense. They came up short against Coral Reef on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

Goleman got a good showing from Sebastian Fernandez, who struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits.

Meanwhile, Brito suffered their closest defeat since March 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Archbishop Carroll by a score of 5-3.

Brito's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Goleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Goleman skirted past Brito 6-4 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Goleman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brito turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
