New Covenant waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came out on top against the St. Anne's-Belfield Saints by a score of 3-1.

New Covenant had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.

Embry Carlton was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and one assist.

New Covenant was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 20 consecutive matches.

New Covenant's record now sits at 18-4. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

New Covenant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Anne's-Belfield, they are taking a road trip to square off against Virginia Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
