Soccer Recap: Jarrell Takes a Loss

Jarrell lost against Austin Achieve back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jarrell Cougars fell 2-0 to the Austin Achieve Polar Bears. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Polar Bears are ranked 241st).

Jarrell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Austin Achieve, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Jarrell duke it out with LBJ Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Austin Achieve, they will venture away from home to face off against Burnet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Austin Achieve is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
