Baseball Recap: Willows Comes Up Short

Willows made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Winters, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Honkers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 11-9 on Tuesday.

Clint Girard and Blake Lerstang stepped up to the plate in a big way. Girard went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI, while Lerstang went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Brett Baber was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Willows' defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Winters, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-12.

While Willows had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
