Basketball Game Preview: Obion County Rebels vs. South Gibson Hornets

The Obion County Rebels will challenge the South Gibson Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Obion County: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while South Gibson has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.

Last Friday, Obion County came up short against Dyer County and fell 64-56.

Meanwhile, South Gibson entered their game against Dyersburg on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. South Gibson fell 51-40 to Dyersburg.

South Gibson's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-5. As for Obion County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Obion County came out on top in a nail-biter against South Gibson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 50-48. Will Obion County repeat their success, or does South Gibson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
