Baseball Recap: Sanger Drops Season-High Score on Bonham

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sanger). They blew past the Bonham Warriors 16-1 on Tuesday. The Indians have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Reed Sebastian made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Sebastian was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Twister Wilson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Levi Hendricks, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Sanger now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bonham, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Sanger will be taking part in a tournament against Collinsville at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bonham, they will look to defend their home field on March 12th against Van Alstyne at 2:00 p.m.
