Trico won the last time they faced Steeleville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pioneers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

Trico not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Steeleville between 14 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16.

Hazel Helmers paced Trico's offense, picking up nine kills. Helmers got some help from Molly Rathert and her 15 assists. Finally, Helmers was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Trico's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Steeleville, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.

Trico has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Goreville on the 11th. As for Steeleville, they will face off against Okawville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
