Volleyball Recap: Piqua Takes a Loss

Piqua lost against Tippecanoe on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Indians came up short against the Red Devils, falling 3-0. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Piqua took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8, 25-12.

Tippecanoe can attribute much of their success to Faith Siefring, who had ten digs and two aces. Siefring is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 39 games she's played dating back to last season.

Piqua's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Tippecanoe, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Coming up, Piqua will be playing in front of their home fans against Sidney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tippecanoe, they will head out to challenge Beavercreek at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
