Softball Recap: Breathitt County Comes Up Short

Breathitt County fell victim to Letcher County Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 36 runs in the game before, the Bobcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Breathitt County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Pelfrey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Breathitt County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Letcher County Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Breathitt County will challenge Cordia at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Letcher County Central, they will face off against Belfry at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
