Soccer Game Preview: DeWitt vs. Mason

The DeWitt Panthers will take on the Mason Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DeWitt's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Mason's offense will have their work cut out for them.

While DeWitt's win against Haslett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Vikings a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering DeWitt's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Haslett are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, Mason hasn't lost a match since April 23rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Okemos by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time Mason have beaten Okemos on their pitch since April 16, 2019.

Mason's victory bumped their record up to 7-3-4. As for DeWitt, their win bumped their record up to 13-0.

DeWitt got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April against Mason by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
