Liberty County dropped down to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They took an 18-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beach Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 43 points in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Liberty County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Nykiem Ezell. Mekhi James was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making 12 total tackles.

As for Beach, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games.

Jayvion Williams had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 97 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 37 yards and a pair of TDs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Liberty County will challenge Calvary Day at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. As for Beach, they will square off against Southeast Bulloch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
