Volleyball Recap: Nipomo Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

After losing to Morro Bay the last time they met, Nipomo decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Titans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Henry Gibson paced Nipomo's offense, picking up 16 kills. Gibson got some help from Chase Spicer and his 30 assists. Gibson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Nipomo's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-12. As for Morro Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-25 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Nipomo and Righetti will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Morro Bay, they will head out to square off against Templeton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
