Softball Recap: Stafford Takes a Loss

Stafford lost against Riverbend back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians lost 15-3 to the Bears. The Indians' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Emily Stone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Tori Bove also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Stafford's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Riverbend, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Stafford is set to face off against their familiar foe Massaponax at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverbend will square off against rival Brooke Point at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
