Woburn Memorial unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 7-1 to the Reading Memorial Rockets on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tanners in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost five in a row.

The victory keeps Reading Memorial at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Reading Memorial will welcome Watertown at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Woburn Memorial will be paying especially close attention to the Rockets' contest: after the Rockets face off against Winchester, they'll take on Woburn Memorial again at 4:15 p.m. on May 20.
