Bartram Trail moved up to 40 from 76 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 6A District 4. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of topping Choctawhatchee 17-14.
Bartram Trail added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Indians, 17-14. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
The Bears' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. PJ Blazejowski threw for 230 yards and Romello Bentley had 88 yards receiving. On the ground David Coleman contributed 63 yards. Jake Munger helped Bartram Trail's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 83 yards.
Blazejowski put up the best numbers through the air as Bartram Trail bested Choctawhatchee. Blazejowski's favorite target this week was Bentley, who caught 7 passes for 88 yards.
Bartram Trail's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bears feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Blazejowski has thrown for 2,277 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Bentley has 60 catches for 754 yards.
The Bears and Greg Thomas' team played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Bears eventually emerging with a 17-14 victory. Blazejowski ran for 55 yards in the win.
