Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln-Way East Griffins vs. Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers

The Lincoln-Way East Griffins will head out to challenge the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Lincoln-Way East has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lincoln-Way East is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Glenbard West, who was ranked third at the time (Lincoln-Way East was ranked fourth). The Griffins fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Griffins' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Lincoln-Way East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-8, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Bradley-Bourbonnais was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln-Way Central.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Lincoln-Way East, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-3.
