Softball Game Preview: North Shore Mustangs vs. King Panthers

North Shore and King are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Shore has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Shore came up short against Atascocita on Friday, falling 14-4. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Jada Duncan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Jolissa Ramirez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, King was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Kingwood by a score of 2-1.

North Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for King, their loss dropped their record down to 17-11-1.

North Shore suffered a grim 17-4 defeat to King in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
