Baseball Game Preview: Dixon Rams vs. El Camino Eagles

For the second straight game, Dixon will face off against El Camino. The Rams will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dixon's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.

On Wednesday, Dixon made easy work of El Camino and carried off a 13-3 win. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly ten runs.

Owen Tomelloso tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kai Mulitsch-Reynolds, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Dixon: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-14-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Isacc Santos, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Dixon's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15-1. As for El Camino, they dropped their record down to 5-19 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
