Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Dragons vs. Blake Yellow Jackets

The Jefferson Dragons will square off against the Blake Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Blake likes a good challenge.

Jefferson is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Spoto: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Jefferson blew Spoto out of the water with a 62-14 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Dragons had established a 37 point advantage.

Jefferson found their leader in sophomore Damaria Pitcher, who posted 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pitcher has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Azariah Johnson, who earned 12 points.

Meanwhile, Blake didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Newsome on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 39-34 win.

Jefferson's record is now 9-10. As for Blake, their record is now 8-11.

Jefferson and Blake were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Jefferson came up empty-handed after a 37-36 defeat. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
