Basketball Recap: Good Samaritan HomeSchool Takes a Loss

After a string of six wins, Good Samaritan HomeSchool's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to the Laurel HomeSchool Knight Hawks.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ellie Beck, who posted eight points and nine steals. Beck is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zoey White, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Laurel HomeSchool, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-35 victory against Muddy River HomeSchool on the 18th. As for Laurel HomeSchool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-43 loss against Christian HomeSchool Sports Association of Acadiana on the 18th.
