Softball Recap: Aztec Tigers vs. Farmington Scorpions
Aztec was the 12-11 winner over Farmington when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Aztec fell just short of Farmington by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kamora Henry was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cheyenne Yellow made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Aztec hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Farmington struck out seven times.
Aztec's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Farmington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1.
Coming up, Aztec will head out on the road to face off against West Mesa at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Farmington, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Miyamura at 12:40 p.m. Miyamura will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Farmington surely won't give up without a fight.
