Coronado proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 14) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bushland Falcons 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 16, 2024.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Bushland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coronado and Bushland's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Coronado will square off against Amarillo at 4:00 p.m. on February 25th, a team that's only allowed 3.8 runs per game. Meanwhile, Bushland and Andrews (who has only given up 3.6 runs per game) will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
