Basketball Game Preview: Shadle Park Highlanders vs. University Titans

Shadle Park hasn't had much luck against University recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Shadle Park Highlanders will challenge the University Titans at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Shadle Park is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 77-34 loss at the hands of Ridgeline. The Highlanders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.

Meanwhile, University suffered their biggest defeat since January 19, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 58-27 loss at the hands of Central Valley. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Bears are ranked fifth).

University has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Shadle Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Shadle Park was taken down by University 85-30 when the teams last played back in January of 2020. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Shadle Park was down 50-23.
