Football Game Preview: Imlay City Spartans vs. Croswell-Lexington Pioneers + Official Tickets

Imlay City hasn't had much luck against Croswell-Lexington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will look to defend their home field against the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m.

Imlay City managed to keep up with Richmond until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 35-14. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Croswell-Lexington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-6 win over Algonac on Friday. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Muskrats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Croswell-Lexington's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Imlay City, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

Imlay City was taken down by Croswell-Lexington 42-12 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Spartans were down 42-0.
