Baseball Recap: St. Peter's Comes Up Short

St. Peter was the 7-0 winner over Xavier when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Joe Bello spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

St. Peter's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Xavier, their record now sits at 4-5.

Coming up, St. Peter's will head out to take on All Hallows at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Xavier, they will be playing at home against Cardinal Hayes at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
