Delaware Academy beats Newark Valley for their fourth straight win

The Delaware Academy Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against Newark Valley by a score of 21-14. Given Delaware Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Newark Valley is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Delaware Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tanner Bracchy, who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Bracchy's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Dungan, who rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown.

Delaware Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.6 points per game. As for Newark Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Delaware Academy will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Deposit-Hancock at 1:30 p.m. Deposit-Hancock and Delaware Academy are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Newark Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Tioga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tioga will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
