Football Game Preview: Florence-Carlton Falcons vs. Powell County Wardens + How To Watch

The Florence-Carlton Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Powell County Wardens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Powell County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Florence-Carlton, who comes in off a win.

Florence-Carlton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Thompson Falls 56-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their eight-point performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, Powell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Loyola-Sacred Heart and fell 42-6.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Shawn Lombardi, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Powell County's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brendan Hagan, Jarrett Pennington, and Ole Beck, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Florence-Carlton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Powell County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
