While West Washington's win against Clarksville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Senators skirted past the Generals 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Senators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Alex Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Hayden Morrow was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

West Washington hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

West Washington's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Clarksville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Coming up, West Washington will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Henryville at 1:00 p.m. The Senators are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Clarksville, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-6 defeat against Trinity Lutheran on the 22nd.
