Basketball Recap: Caney Takes a Loss

Caney lost against Coleman back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Caney Cougars took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coleman Wildcats.

Caney has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Coleman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Caney Cougars challenge the Stringtown Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stringtown's defense has only allowed 26.5 points per game this season, so Caney's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Coleman, they will challenge Boswell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coleman is facing Boswell at the right time seeing as Boswell is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
