Soccer Game Preview: McNair vs. Edison

McNair hasn't had much luck against Edison recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The McNair Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Edison Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

McNair is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to Chavez.

McNair's goal came courtesy of Giovani Montiel, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Edison was not quite Weston Ranch's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-2. As for McNair, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

McNair suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Edison in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can McNair avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
