Football Recap: San Ramon Valley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact San Ramon Valley can now relate to. They were outmatched by the De La Salle Spartans and fell 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Spartans are ranked fourth).

Cole Dawes threw for 155 yards on 13 of 23 attempts. Colton Fitzgibbon was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards. On the ground, Cassius Ryan rushed for 32 yards.

It was another big night for Jaden Jefferson, who rushed for 108 yards and three TDs on only seven carries for De La Salle. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Jefferson a new career-high. Duece Jones-Drew was another key back, rushing for 83 yards and one score on only five carries.

San Ramon Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for De La Salle, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

San Ramon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De La Salle, they will square off against Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
