Mountain View posted their closest victory since January 16, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Ridgevue Warhawks out 69-67. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mavericks.

Mountain View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Starnes, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Despite the loss, Ridgevue still got an impressive performance from Tucker Tiddens, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaimana Nielson, who earned 14 points.

Mountain View's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-9. As for Ridgevue, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Mountain View will venture away from home to challenge Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ridgevue, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Timberline at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Timberline has three straight victories, Ridgevue has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
