Basketball Game Preview: Austintown-Fitch Falcons vs. Harding Raiders

The Austintown-Fitch Falcons will face off against the Harding Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Austintown-Fitch fought the good fight in their overtime match against Highland on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Hornets 57-53. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Hornets are ranked 65th).

Meanwhile, Harding had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They managed a 54-49 victory over the Cardinals. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but the Raiders were the better team in the second half.

Austintown-Fitch now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Harding, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
