Baseball Recap: Brunswick School Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Brunswick School proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Hamden Hall Country Day Hornets 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Teddy Bancroft tossed a big game, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, Brunswick School's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tyrus Ostrowski, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two hits gave Ostrowski a new career-high. Owen Bartoszek also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Brunswick School's record now sits at 9-6. As for Hamden Hall Country Day, they dropped their record down to 11-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Brunswick School will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
