Volleyball Recap: Shelby County Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road + How To Watch

While Shelby County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Vincent Yellow Jackets on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

The victory didn't come easy: Vincent scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 25-22.

Kaydence Connell paced Shelby County's offense, picking up nine kills. Connell got some help from Wendy McGehee and her 18 assists. Connell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Halle Gilbert, racking up four apiece.

Shelby County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Vincent, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-8.

Shelby County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Central of Clay County on the 9th. Vincent has also already played their next contest (against Cornerstone), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
