Basketball Game Preview: Forsyth Home Educators Hawks vs. South Charlotte Thunder

Forsyth Home Educators is 1-9 against South Charlotte since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hawks will take on the Thunder at 8:00 p.m. Forsyth Home Educators is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Forsyth Home Educators' tournament run continued when they took on Gospel Light Christian on Saturday. The Hawks fell 49-36 to Gospel Light Christian. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Forsyth Home Educators got top-tier performance from Baylin Clodfelter, who went 9-for-14 to rack up 21 points. Clodfelter continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tanner Kellum, who posted five points.

Meanwhile, South Charlotte came up short against Metrolina Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 67-58. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunder in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

South Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Forsyth Home Educators, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Forsyth Home Educators ended up a good deal behind South Charlotte in their previous meeting back in January, losing 74-56. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
