Basketball Recap: Alyssa Dejesus and Ellayna Stephens Secure Win for Chamberlain

With a playoff win on the line, Chamberlain rose to the challenge on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over the Blake Yellow Jackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-29 back in January.

Leading Chamberlain to victory were Ellayna Stephens and Alyssa Dejesus. Stephens posted 29 points and five steals, while Dejesus had 15 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stephens has scored at least a third of Chamberlain's points. Another player making a difference was Kenya Hilliard, who earned six points and 15 boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Chamberlain and bumps their season record up to 19-5. As for Blake, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Chamberlain will face off against Robinson on Saturday. Chamberlain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Blake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
