Basketball Recap: Navarre Raiders vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins
The Navarre Raiders were the 78-69 winner over the Gulf Breeze Dolphins when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Navarre took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins on Friday. Navarre has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gulf Breeze's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trent Peak, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Jackson, who scored 16 points.
Navarre has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Gulf Breeze, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10.
Navarre will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Crestview is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Gulf Breeze, they will face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pace is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
