Despite the loss, Paloma Valley had strong showings from Isaac Navarro, who threw for 384 yards and seven TDs, and Noah Davis, who picked up 208 receiving yards and five scores. With that strong performance, Davis is now averaging an impressive 109.6 receiving yards per game.
Meanwhile, Liberty had just enough and edged out Rancho Verde 21-19 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Trent Hallis and Jimmy Cruz. Hallis had a solid game and rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown. Meanwhile, Cruz was balling out in the loss, rushing for 144 yards and three TDs.
Paloma Valley's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6. Those home losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.7 points over those games. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
