Basketball Game Preview: Arroyo Knights vs. Rosemead Panthers

The Arroyo Knights will square off against the Rosemead Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Arroyo earned a 55-47 victory over Mountain View. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Meanwhile, Rosemead hadn't done well against Marshall recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Rosemead put the hurt on Marshall with a sharp 47-24 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted since December 26, 2024.

Arroyo better keep an eye on Rhys Anderson. He was instrumental in Rosemead's win, putting up 19 points. Anderson's evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Huynh, who posted ten points.

Rosemead now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Arroyo, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Arroyo didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Rosemead in their previous matchup last Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win. Will Arroyo repeat their success, or does Rosemead have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
