Soccer Game Preview: Brownwood vs. Little River Academy

Brownwood is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Little River Academy a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Brownwood Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Little River Academy Bumblebees at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Lampasas who was credited with the win on Friday. Lampasas got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Brownwood's two.

Little River Academy managed to keep up with Lampasas until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Little River Academy came up short against Lampasas, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Bumblebees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 820th, while the Badgers are ranked 404th).

Brownwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Little River Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything went Brownwood's way against Little River Academy in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Brownwood made off with a 7-0 victory. Will Brownwood repeat their success, or does Little River Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
