Volleyball Recap: Vandegrift Comes Up Short

Vandegrift was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Coronado Thunderbirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vipers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2016.

Jenna Hehman paced Vandegrift's offense, picking up four kills. Hehman got some help from Sadie Jorgensen and her six assists.

Vandegrift now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Coronado, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Vandegrift didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against McNeil on the 26th. As for Coronado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against College Park on the 28th.
