Baseball Recap: Eldorado Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Eldorado had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They blew past the Santa Fe Demons 14-0. Considering the Golden Eagles have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Abram Pine was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Hoffman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cooper Fairhurst, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Eldorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Fe only managed six hits.

Eldorado's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.

As of now, neither Eldorado nor Santa Fe have any future games scheduled.
