Soccer Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial lost against Independence back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Centennial Golden Hawks fell just short of the Independence Falcons by a score of 2-1.

Centennial's goal came courtesy of Ben Alcantar, which was the first he's scored this season.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Independence, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Centennial will square off against Del Oro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Independence, they will face off against Garces Memorial at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
