Baseball Recap: Lakehill Prep Comes Up Short

Lakehill Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Harvest Christian Academy Saints, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Saints this season, with their most recent defeat being a 20-6 loss on March 1st.

Lakehill Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Johnston, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Cooper White also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Lakehill Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Harvest Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakehill Prep will face off against Lucas Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will challenge Bethesda Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvest Christian Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Bethesda Christian likes a good challenge.
